No, the XT is basically a cut down version of the Vanilla 6800, with only 8 pixel pipelines.

I just order the xfx GeForce 7300 GS 256MB PCI-E (same as in the original post with 256 mb), for 70 bucks I thought it was a good deal.

Looking here http://www.gpureview.com/show_cards.php?card1=187&card2=376 it seems to compare decently with the GeForce 6600 GT PCI-E (at least from my limited knowledge and I understnd a lot of thngs go into).

Am I missing something? Is the 7300 a descent card?

Heck at 70 bucks, its the best I could do considering all the other new components I'm putting in right now.

Well, they arnt really, the 6600GT is much better. I would of spent the extra and got a 6600GT, i can run pretty much any game out at medium to high settings, but with the 7300GS, then probably only about Low to medium.

That's pretty much true, the 7300GS is a low end budget card while the 6600GT is a high budget card

Mind you, two of them in SLI could probably equal a 7800GT. (Not sure though, anyone SLI'd 6600GTs before?)
