My GeForce 6600GT could hit up to 71*c .. where my processor is onli 50*c im wondering is it safe ? or normal for it to be at 70*c

So in other words, yes, its fine. My X800GTO hits 70c non overclocked, 82c overclocked. However, I don't like the high temperatures, so I'm getting an Arctic Silencer

isn't that mean if it gets to 128C, it would burn/damage the video card?
I think it means thats when it underclocks itself to lower temps, but im not too sure. Or it could be when it shuts itself off

yeah thats when it starts to back off a bit but anyway your temperature is fine, i wouldnt worry about the heat

71 degrees is fine, mine used to get to the heady heights of the mid-90's lol... i removed the heatsinks, cleaned off their thermal compount and changed it for AS5, took 20 degrees of my temps
