670 FTW or 7970?

I'm in the market for a new gpu, but I don't know which one i should pick up.

I'm kinda leaning towards the 670 because I really don't like the AMD drivers, but from what I understand, the 7970 has better performance.

Any help?

Assuming you're using the card purely for gaming, I'd be inclined to go 7970.

If you're using the card for gaming and/or stuff like video editing and the like, I'd get the 670 because of the CUDA support which can help to speed up render times a bit.

Yeah, the PC is for gaming. Now what manufacturer would you recommend for AMD?

Price/performance, AMD is the best choice for gaming.
I recommend you to take a Ghz edition though.

Why compare a 670 to a 7970? Compare a 770 to a 7970.

Hands down, believe it was around 90% of the titan's performance, but way lower price

no thats a 780, we are talking 680 performance but cheaper here with the 770.

Its about a 50/50 standoff between the GTX770 vs. The HD790ghz. The 770 is cheaper.
