6800GT or 800 XL

Just look around for some benchmarks... I have a 6800GT that'll play Doom3 on Ultra settings 4xAA quite well(No AA perfectly) I don't know how demanding UT07 will be, but I think the 6800GT would do quite well

some people are saying that since the 800XL wont play ut07 because it dose not support SM 3.0

Just because it supports SM3.0 doesn't necessarily mean it's a requirement, can anyone point me to where it spefically says "You must have a SM3.0 capable card"? It would be foolish for Epic to release a game that would require ~40% of the general population to upgrade their video card, so I think they must have SM2.x or even 1.1 as an option.

the x800 is directX 9 it just doesnt have SM3.0, the 9800s were DX9 as were the GeForceFXs
