Well I just built my new system which consists of an XFX 6800GT w/256mb, Athlon 64 3200+ s939 (venice), and Chaintech S1689 motherboard. When using the drivers that come with my video card (61.72), videos play fine. But when I update to the drivers on the nvidia website (77.72), most videos come out with a bright, over-exposed look. Sorta like it has way too mch contrast and color saturation. Hard to explain how it looks but it makes it unwatchable since all the colors are distorted. The only videos where this doesnt happen are quicktime videos and uncompressed videos (ones I took with fraps). Any suggestion?
Another problem I am having with this new card is that when I play the Far Cry demo it ooks horrible. I know hw it's supposed to look because It worked perfectly on my old Geforce FX 5900. But now, it looks horrible, sorta like its running in directx 7 or something. Other games such as Half-Life 2 and Halo work great and look the way they're supposed to. It seems that my 6800GT would run it better than my old 5900 but it looks horrible. This goes for any drivers I've tried. This is a screenshot I took of hw it looks...

Any help would be appreciated...
