it's the northbridge chipset #... it's a new one, and i'd guess it's good, ask OMEGA... he's got a EVGA mobo with it...

975X is the best chipset.
support crossfire out of the box, and with asus's flex SLI bridge connector and some hacked drivers you can use SLI too.

Are you sure? i would also like to see that link...ive been told that 680i chipsets were the best right now

@Fade2Green, you dont know what your talking about :p

As others have said, the 680i refers to the chipset on the motherboard. It's one of the best motherboard available for the Core 2 Duo, for several reasons. The basics are the excellent overclocking ability and features, 3x PCI-E x16 slots, and the not-so obvious such as the motherboard using high quality capacitors, 6-layer PCB to allow more efficient transfer of power between devices, and overall just a higher quality build.
