6870 crossfire cooling help

Hello all,

Ok so my 6870 fans are making some pretty annoying noises. I've cleaned them and use silicon grease on the fan motor but the noise still comes back after a while. I think I will give up trying to fix the fans on the cards and will get new HS/F's.

Question is which heat sinks will fit my crossfire setup? I've had a Google around and cannot find a solid solution. I don't really want to do the whole water cooling thing either.

If someone can recommend me a decent set of HSF's for my crossfire setup I will be very grateful.

The problem with most aftermarket coolers,They require 3 slots so i doubt many of them would be suitable for a Crossfire situation.

You could probably get away with sticking something like a Arctic Accelero S1 and passive cooling them,But again,In a crossfire they might get rather toasty.

Id personally do what Smileman said...sell both of them and buy a better single card.
I mean your probably talking £20-30 each for new coolers.
 
Cool cheers for the feedback, think I'll take your advice and sell up. Seems pointless paying out 50+ just on heatsinks...
