6990 fan connector.

I have 2 his 6990. The fan plugs to remove the heat sink are impossible to remove. I'm about to hurl this thing across the room. Any ideas?

needle nose pliers,but once you pop the plastic plugs out, they dont stay in very well if you reuse them,so i wouldnt do it too often
