708 modem to USB

I have high speed to one computer using a Visionnet 708 modem, ethernet connection. It has an ethernet and USB port, But when I connect the USB port to my old computer(Gateway G6-300, Windows 98) it fails to reconize it with plug and play, and is not listed on the list to choose from. How do I get it to work? If I need a new driver where to get it from?

the manufacturers website... i dont think win98 would have a driver for something created 10 years after the OS's production...
