Oh wait, the 920 doesnt support ddr3, i just realized that, bummer. But in actuality you could save yourself a few bucks by going with a ddr2 board, difference between ddr2 and ddr3 isnt that much.

Right plus a AM2+ processor will not even fit in a AM3 socket. AM2/+ 940 pins. AM3 has 938 pins. I would get a good AM2+ board with DDR2 memory, but get the X3 720 AM3, heard it overclocks like crazy. Then later you could still upgrade to a DRR3 board and memory.

Yeah, it all depends if you want to spend extra right now for a AM3 board and DDR3

Same board, but AM2+/ DDR2 saves 25 bucks.

Hell I dont know, 50 bucks more for DDR3 and a AM3 board isnt bad!

ya 50.00 when you have the money to spend... im selling my setup to my brother (who doesnt mess with computers) so i figured i would get am3 setup maybe sense i already got to play with my 940 for a while lol im really taking a beating on this but who knows when ill have the cash again for a socket upgrade
