7600gs making things crash ;(

i have just got my nvidia geforce 7600gs agp card but when i play a quite graphically demanding game after a while it blurs all over the screen and then crashes locking my whole computer. the only thing i can do is turn it of at the power pack. i was wondering if it could be the drivers becasue i dont know if here actually right ones. could anyone tell me where i could find the exact most upto date drivers for this card?

thanks in advance

As I also have the 7600 gs ,I may able to make a comment on it.As it is an older card its performance on games like Crysis and such are barely playable. The new drivers help some but I had to put everything on low and still there is a lot of stuttering. There are some better cards out for agp but you have to decide if you want to put more money into an aging interface type.It might buy you another year or so , I dont know.I decided awhile back to I will just build a new machine on the Pci express x16 2.0.

Sadly when they say minimum requirements its just that;just good enough where you won't return the game. :( . I havent played RAW but most of the newer games Like STALKER and later struggle with the VGA from my experience. The lower end cards sound like a good deal when they go on sale at local big box stores(where I got mine) but they dont have a long useful life if you like playing the top end games I am sad to say.

Mine has been doing the same thing, and I believe it is a driver problem, as it has only been happening since I updated them last.

You could always sell the GS card and get the 7600gt, the sell OC editions that card will play those games.
