I went out and ordered this computer,

Mobo: Gigabyte 965P-DS3

Processor: Core 2 Duo E6300 1.86GHz

Vid Card: XFX GeForce 7600 GT

Ram: Corsair TWINX Dual Channel 1024MB PC6400 DDR2 800MHz

Hard Drive: Samsung 80GB

Case: Power Up 5511 Black ATX Mid-Tower Case

Power Supply: Ultra 500-Watt

CD/DVD Rom: Lite-on SHD-16P1S / 16x DVD-ROM / 48x CD-ROM

Some of you may remember the thread I made a few weeks ago about this. I now have it infront of me and I'm in sort of a jam. Basically, when I install the drivers for my GFX card my monitor goes blank, like it's not connected.

I've tried several different installs of the driver, including from the cd, and their website. I'm stumped and the only thing I can think of is that it's my monitor. It's quite old, a 15inch CRT.

Right now, I'm connected to my gfx card with no drivers installed for it, at 1280x1024 resolution. Anyone have any ideas?

You may have received a mislabeled card or the wrong cd? I would say the likelihood stands with a mislabled card. You downloaded direct from the support site and the updated drivers saw the same thing? Under the vendor's return policy I would say return it for a replacement, alternate model, or simply a refund. You could try a different brand 7600GT? The drivers certainly are not working with the card that it is supposed to be.
