7600GT video input

I've got a new stereo reciever and it has a nice on screen display mode with a wii-like remote that moves a hand across the screen. I need either the component (RCA) or S-Video output from the reciever into my computer monitor. My monitor has both digital and analog inputs and can switch between them easily, so I want to get the video from the component or S-Video and into a VGA connector. I have seen cables but they are all VGA to RCA/SV and I'm wondering if it will work both ways.

Another option would be if my 7600GT's S-Video output was able to catch an input and display it through the DVI to my monitor.

I've also seen boxes that can convert the TV signal to VGA but they are more expensive than I care for.

Anyone have an idea or assistance?

There's really no way to split the input in with your current hardware. The 7600GT is output ONLY. I know most, if not all 7800's had Video-In-Video-Out...

You'd either need something like a capture card, or an external tuner with a Picture-in-picture feature.
