7800gt control panel takes 5 or more minutes to open

so when I right click or go to nvidia control panel by other meansw
it takes like 5-10 minutes to open. I can see nvidia panel exe in task
manager but it takes a while to open.
what's the problem.
 
As far as i can tell; a virus titled winlog. Google has told me that if antivirus software can't get rid of it then a reinstall of windows may work. You may want to try a repair run first. Any further questions will be answered to the best of my ability. Good luck.

what is avg free edition or avast?
I scanned my hole system with norton antivirus and no viruses were found.
are u sure it's virus. maybe it's some kind of windows xp setting that I need
to change?
 
it may not be..but from what i've heard it's possible. norton doesnt catch everything; i once scanned with avg right after doing a norton.. it found over 80 different viruses norton missed .:eek: google the two names and download their product run them and delete everything they find. then check to see if the problem is still there.
