7800gt - Worth it?

Should i buy the 7800gt now? or get a 6800 and then later buy another 6800 or a 7800 to SLI?

buy the 7800 now its gonna be cheaper with the realese of the new 7800gtx and holiday sales. it might depend on wat types of games ur playing overall.

But i don't have a lot of money, that's why i was wondering

go with what you can afford. there's no point breaking the bank all for the sake of a few games

BF2 and HL2 yes. you might need to drop down a little on the detail with fear though.

Soon the 7800GS will be coming out, that would proabably be your best bet because its G70 architechture just "cheapified".

i dont think he meant "wow it better than a 6800" but was actually comparing the impact each card when it came on the scene. i have to admit the numbers the 7800's are putting out is very impressive
