I noticed on the XT Edition the Core clock is 480 MHz and the Mem Clock is 1500 MHz. But on the reg. GS version Coreclock is 600 MHz and the Mem Clock is 1600. Now when I was building the new system I purchased the XT Edition. What I was wondering is why the XT has lower Clock speeds? Can you OC' higher?

Thanks,

What country are you in? I have never hear of the XT edition for the 7900GS. The stock speed for the 7900GS is the same as the 7900GT, which is 450Mhz. I have a 7900GT, the 600Mhz one is the XXX edition but I'm sure you can overclock a regular 7900GS to really high speeds, that's what I did with my 7900GT its at 620Mhz and 1860Mhz RAM.

You must have mistaken, because a regular 7900GS will not be at 600Mhz.

He already bought the XT version. Im not sure why its slower, was the card cheaper?

You can try overclocking, but its not a guarantee you can get to or exceed those speeds.

i think the xt version is factory overclocked :S cause xfx does alota factory overclocking.

Im not too sure thou.
