7900GT better than 7800GTX(512 memory)??

i read in some of the threrads that 7900gt is even better than 7800gtx which has 512 memory (not sure on this) is this real true?, i know the 7900gt only has 256 memory & 7800GTX is like $250 or so more than 7900gt....
any benchmark tests showing how diff 7xx series do against each other?

yea, i wouldn't doubt that it does in some games. im sure the 7800gtx 512mb outperforms it in the newest games that require more memory though...
the x1800xt is a worse card but beats it in some benchmarks just because of the 512mb of memory instead of the 256mb on the 7900gt.

This card also seems to have many problems on whatever brand it comes, many reviews say it has artifact and visual problems, check this out

My GTX isn't 512, and I've seen it outperform 79 GTs.. also performs smoother.. artifacting = teh suck.

The 7900GT is better than the regular 7800GTX, but not as good as the 7800GTX 512.
