I need some information...

My laptop was on for about two hours, running on battery for the first hour and power for the next hour.... then the taskbar stopped working, so all i could hear was the beeps from my MSN... but no one new talking. Was this just nothing, or was it too hot, for it to run liek this??


I need this laptop for tomorrow(i have a concert, and im running serato off of it) will it do this tomorrow? or would you sya it was a fluke?

Specs are in Sig(its a gateway).

I can't tell you if it will do it tomorrow or not, but once in a while I run into little issues like that with all my computers. A good restart will go a long way in fixing most of these little problems. If it keeps happening, you may want to check into what processes are running, scan for viruses, and see if any Windows files are damaged. This sounds like the computer was just trying to do too much at once, and froze, as happens on my old HP laptop once in a while.
 
You you can't afford it to have to restarted tomorrow, then if you have another laptop that you know is reliable (even if it's not as good) I'd go with that one. That way, after the concert, you'll have plenty of time to use it and see if it happens again, or if it was just a fluke.
 
Both good ideas, thanks. Worst comes to worse, and i have to restart it... ill get the group to play with the crowd for a little bit.
