$800 PC - First time building.

A buddy of mine suggested I post here for some feedback before ordering the parts for my build. My budget is $800. The machine will be used for moderate gaming/streaming, Photoshop, and occasional video editing. I've already got a monitor, spare HDD for storage, keyboard/mouse, and optical drive; I just need an opinion on everything else. Here's what I'm looking at:

Looks ok to me if you are not overclocking.
The R9 270X you choose is too expensive.
You should get GTX 960 or R9 280 for that price.
 
I highly recommend that you stick with Win 8 or try Win 10 Tech Preview.

The people that hate Win 8 didn't bother to upgrade to Win 8.1 (and/or) have't tried to get used to change. :)

Use what you love but there's no denying that Windows 10 is looking more like 8.1 than 7 so you'd better get used to it! ;)

For a new build at this point in time I would definitely use 8.1. The Windows 10 Preview (especially the latest build - 9926) is a little too buggy to really use as a primary OS I think. You could always see what the next Preview build is like or if you're curious try 9926 and see what you think, but I'd recommend using a stable OS as your primary OS on your main machine.
