8600gt :-)

Well Ive had my 8600gt for a while and I just upgraded from a 16" crt at 1024x768 to a 22" at 1680x1050. I thought my 8600gt wouldn't be able to keep up on css at that resolution. I was wrong. I still get 40-100fps in office and on the stress test I got 70. It will even play cod4 on all high without fps lag. I was just saying this because Ive seen a lot of people on the forum say the 8600gt wouldn't play cod4 and things like that.

Very nice:). I would suggest you to use lower res on CSS.
I use 800x600 just like many others also lower the res = more fps.

I just use that res because it makes the text look great and i only get about 10 less fps than on 1024x768. I extremely overclocked my 8600gt. I use 800x600 on cod4 though and it still looks great :-)

I have to say it lol,

I got 320 FPS on the stress test on 1360x768 maxed out settings.

But that's good for an 8600 GT.

When you mean COD4 at all high, like everything? Textures all at Extra?

Well even then, thats not bad for your CPU and amount of RAM, that must mean theres something wrong with my system D:

my 7800gt plays COD4 on medium settings.. but its fps isnt great, lol... i normally leave it at low settings. also note im still running directx 9 lol

Im running dx9 to lol. Yeh the old sempron 2.1ghz preforms fairly well. Im thinking about upgrading to a triple core @2.1ghz. And yes, i have everything turned up on cod4. All the options like glow and stuff are on. And 2x aa.
