8800 fit

Im about to start building a new computer and was looking towards a mini case ( and therefore micro atx mobo).. I have already got a geforce 8800 gts and just wondered whether it would fit into the small case, and if so whether it would fit onto a micro atx mb? any advice?

Also, is there actually any noticeable performance differences between makes of graphics cards? eg Leadtek seem to be cheaper than Asus for example? it just seems odd that the prices can very so much?!
Secondly if i can get the xfx 8800 320mb xxx (oc) for the same price as a leadtek 8800 640mb, which is a better one to pick? ( oh n my monitor res is average atm)

my advice is to get a bigger case, the thing is the size of two cards (or atleast the GTX is) if nothing else the motherboard you have to buy to put it in there will be hard to access once you put it in, also with the amount of space with wires, other PCI cards and the CPU fan its going to be crampt in there. I can't imagine alot of circulation of air in there.
