8800 gts or gt? please help

its been a full day without any 8800 posts so ill make one


I saw the gts 320 version for $100 more than the gt so im guessing the new one came out....is this card worth my money? I read its better than the gtx but I cant find much to support that fact.


also, how will I know if im buying the new version?

If i were you i would get the 8800GT, its currently cheaper than the GTS version and performs much like the GTX version.

There will also be a smaller version of the 8800GT which will have only 256MB but I don't have any more info on that.

And about the new GTS thats coming out i dont know either but I dont think its going to be a better deal than the 8800GT which has an excellent price/performance ration right now.

Wow you've tried the 8800gt? Hows its performance? Do you play crysis? If yes can u play on all high setting with respectable framerate.
I planned to buy that card.

I just ordered the 8800 GT during the 3 minute window on Newegg when it was in stock =) Can't wait!
