8800GT 512mb vs 8800GT 256mb

I have a very small monitor, like a 15' inch i think, and i was wondering if i there would be much of a difference between the 256mb and 512mb version of the 8800GT?
 
For a 15" there isn't a real need to go with the 512MB version, as it supports a pretty low resolution (most likely). Unless you plan to upgraded to a larger monitor soon, I would save yourself some money and go with the 256MB version.
 
thx thats what i was thinking but i wasnt sure. It saves a good $50 so i dont really see the point of getting a high resolution since im currently at 1024 by 768, thx for the help
