how much increase will i notice upgraing from the 8800gts 640mb to the 8800GT

also would i get a clear or better picture


secondly, how do ati,s new cards compare with them, i like better results that i think ati tries harder for? how does the latest ati card compare price wise and preformance
 
The E3870 is a good deal only if the 8800GT is over $240 or so. It performs better, but generally is at a lower price point. However, Dell has been selling the 8800GTs for $208 recently, so by far, the 8800GT is the best deal then.
 
should i get the radeon card you listed above although it will limit sli technology, and do you think besides reformance the image result is better?
