I currently have a 400watt Ultra X-connect PSU that has a +12v rating of 16amps. Not much, but it is a cheapy PSU. Anyway, i was wondering if that would be enough to power a single 8800GTS? I wont plan on OCing the card, obviously probibly couldnt OC anything with limited power. I do plan to upgrade my PSU, but i really wanted to get the card first. The 8800GTS model i plan to get is the lower end one, with the 320mb 320-bit memory.

i would not even consider running a 8800GTS on a 400w Cheap psu:cool:

Definatly replace it if your getting a 8800GTS.

400 watts won't be enough. I was even running into problems when I had an Antec 400w PSU along with my current setup (without the X1900XT and with an X800GTO)

There are a few 400W units that could handle it (or the GTX), but that Ultra certainly isn't one of them. +12V@16A is far too low.
