8800gts Sli

hello, i seem to have a bit of a problem. i built my computer some time ago and have had a single geforce 8800 GTS 320 with no problems at all. i recently bought another 8800GTS to add to it, for SLI. they are 100% identical. in most of my games i'm only seeing a very minimal performance increase, like a few frames. my system specs are:

EVGA nForce 590 SLI
2 x EVGA Geforce 8800GTS 320
700W Thermaltake PSU (has 4 12v railings)
Athlon 64 X2 4600+ 2.4GHz
2 GB RAM
Windows XP MCE

i also have all of the latest driver. any help as to why i'm not seeing an increase in performance would be gladly accepted. thanks :)
 
theres nothign wrong with your system, SLI is rubbish lol, but to make sure, run 3dmark 06 with one card and then with two, see what difference you get, not many games giv that much of a boost form SLI, fidle around with settings in NVidia control panel for each game, tunring force split frame rendering helps for some games

NO SLI - 8064

WITH SLI - 9092

i guess this means that SLI is working? lol
