fade2green514 Active Member Jul 14, 2006 #4 yep AM2 is newer. there were rumors of a reverse-hyperthreading type of technology... if you see anything about it disregard it because there's no such thing. basically the only real difference is that AM2 has semprons and supports ddr2 memory.
