9600 sli or 3780x2

As the tiltle says: shall I go with one 3870x2 or 9600gt in SLI?

Do you mean 2 x HD3870 or the newer HD3870X2?? Either one would be better over 9600GT SLI though...

What motherboard do you have? 2 3870's slightly outperform the 3870X2. Single card, 3870X2 is the winner.

its not looking good as far as the performance against current cards go. But the price should be around $300-350. They're saying its basically an overclocked 8800GTS.

But we'll wait on some more reviews..

9600GT is pretty equal to a 3870...

And seeing how the 3870X2 is upwards of $400 and an EVGA 9600GT is $170... I would get the 9600GT's, you can do the step-up program later

With EVGA brand GPU's you if you buy a new card and you want to upgrade and 90 days hasn't passed you can send them the card you bought pay the difference between it and the card you want and they will send you the new card. I'm pretty sure thats how it all works.
