9600GT Problem.

These past couple days all of a sudden i have encountered the same problem while i was playing world of warcraft.
After about 2 hours of play, WoW will freeze and the screen will start to flicker. If i react quick enough, it enables me to end WoW from task manager., but sometimes it freezes up my entire computer which forces me to re-boot.

I think it might be by PSU not giving enough power, or maybe I'm running the settings too high?

Any ideas at all, please share.

Thanks.

Your PSU needs to be 400Watts with 26 Amps on the 12 V rail. If anything has changed since you started getting these problems then that would most likely be the cause. Try updating your drivers.

If the above doesn't work check your temps. Nothings blocking the fan or anything like that? Have you over clocked your card, is it factory over clocked? If yes than try under clocking it first.

You just have to check for all these common problems first. Any questions about any of this just ask.

I'm not sure, depending on what brand and fan he has on his card, it shouldn't be a big deal. I have a eVGA and it idles at 43~
