9600gt vs 8800gt?

hey I was just wondering weter a 1gb 9600gt would out perform a 512mb 8800gt in games? and how muc differance would there be?

No it wouldn't actually the 512mb 9600gt wins in some games tests to the 1gb version

A standard 8800gt is about 20% faster than a 9600gt 1gb

performance wise, a 8800gt will beat a 9600gt.

what resolution are you running? if you're not gaming on a huge HDTV, 1gb isn't necessary as this will decrease performance if say you're gaming on a 22" LCD monitor.
