Okay, question.

Would 2x 9600GT 512MB be better than 2x 8600GT 1GB ?

I only ask 'cuz the 8600s cost less and have more VRAM apparently. Thoughts?
 
Yeah, by a whole shitload.

The extra VRAM on the 86's cannot make up for their lackluster performance, that being alittle better than a 7600gt. :)
 
In SLI they are very good especially for the price.

They are in some instances better than 2 8800GTs!!!!

They are very good value for money. Looks like the scaleability on the new cards is very good. The only thing thats keeping me away is that they have little stream processors, and with games becomeing more SP intensive, well do the math...

But they are AMAZING value for money, and the price to performance is like 1:3 respectivly...
