9600pro or 9600ultra?

n short :i bought a v. card from Gigabyte: a strange one:
only trouble till now
the model is radeon 9600pro-ULTRA yes it is correct and never seen before:ultra
the difference between this ultra and the pro is +100mhz core clock on ultra:
500/600 ultra
400/600 pro
the strangeness goes on: the card should have a RV350 core!!
instead has RV 360 ---JUST LIKE XT
see the entire 9600 pro family including this odd breed: GV-R96P128DU:-u from ultra !!

want people to know that gigabiyte appearantly replace that 9600pro-ultra chip set (the one from review,with that bbbiiiggg cooler) with a chip set from 9600 xt and a regular cooler
see the results from review:you will see aida32 showing the speciffication:
true for that card (with the big cooler) but on mine is written:GV-R96P128D-ultra
true story :when i bought it i freeked out becouse the merchant didn't gave me the card with the big cooler
he showed me on the gigabyte 's web page the picture with the card i bought
another wierd thing
n the box appears v-tuner with hardwere monitorn the soft from cd. v tuner can only c.c ,mot monitor.
so i downloaded another v tuner:same thing:can't monitor!

Are you sure you're not mistaking 9600 Ultra for 9600 XT? The 9600Pro-Ultra seems just like a marketing gimmic (and they might have backed it up by OCing it).
Nothing fancy there.... all 9600s have 4 pipes.
As for your links, the first one didnt lead anywhere and the 2nd one lists the 9600Pro as the core chip
That is kinda wierd... doesnt make sense but I'll have a lookie again
