965BE corsair H60 temps

hey all,

so i am running the setup in my sig, and i usually get temps between 39-44 degrees (idle load respectively)

seems fine, however

my flatmate is running the 6 core phenom 2 chip (1055) and last week he showed me his temps at 8, yes, 8 degreese, now his room was cold, very cold, but even so this seems stupidly low, for the stock cooling fan, vs my h60

so have i half assed the fitting of my h60? or does he have a god like cooler?

Unless the guy was sat in a freezer, the sensor was broken. I would put money on the fact that the room was not sub 8 degrees, which is what it would have had to be for those temperatures to be correct. His sensors are incorrect, or the program monitoring it are incorrect

Yes, those are incorrect readings. My 1100T idles about 19 degrees. And I have a much better cooler then a H60.

Those readings are fine for your processor.

I doubt it idles at 19c unless you live in <10c weather. Which I have done. Woken up to PC idling at 15c at first, then warming up. But anyway, the x6's have some funny quirks with the temp sensors. Try using the CPUTIN measurement over the core measurements. I'd wager it's more accurate.
