98 to xp PLEASE HELP

I just got a computer for really cheap. It had 98 on it but i deleted that to upgrade to xp, and after i upgraded it wouldn't boot to xp. I am almost possitive that it is a hardware problem. I think the graphics card couldn't handle xp. I have a decent graphics card that i know can run xp on my desk but the motherboard doesn't have a slot for it. What should i do.

Switch it with the old card. Another important thing is to have enough RAM and a good processor.

XP can run on a 333MHz processor with 64MB RAM. I'd definetly recommend more, but it's possible to do so...

It's true but I would stick with 98 if all you have is 64MB even 256MB is slow.
