9800 GTX+ Sli x2 vs. 4870X2

I want to know which has better all around performance. I can actually get the 4870X2 cheaper than the 9800 GTX+. Thanks for your help. Which graphic card(s) is better, the 9800 GTX+ x2 Sli or the Ati 4870X2?

4870x2, if you're ever tempted to, you can get another one for four way crossfire

Crossfire scales extremely well, so if you really need the performance it's definitely worth the price.

4 x 4870 is a waste of money unless he wants to run at super super high resolutions, and even then, the CPU would bottleneck.
