9800GTX+ will be out very soon

9800GTX+ will use 55-nm manufacturing process instead of 65-nm used in the current 9800GTX. And at stock 9800GTX+ will have 738MHz clock speed and 1836MHz shader speed. In comparison the current 9800GTX have 675MHz clock speed and 1688MHz shader speed

And 9800GTX+ will be nividia answer to HD4850, and it will be priced at $229 when it comes out

$229, not bad. might look out for this or stick with the 8800GT i'm currently looking at for my next build.

Oh Man, I hate this... nVidia and ATI, if you're reading this!

STOP MAKING CARDS! DEVELOP NEW TECHNOLOGY AND THEN MAKE THEM! Gawd.

Here I was thinking that Maroon was a bit behind on the times, seeing as how the 9800GTX is already out.

That was before seeing the "+" though. :P

Such an easy thing to miss, and it barely adds to the E-penis rating! Absolutely useless I tell you.

You can take it in many different ways, but the rate Nvid. has been shuffling out same ol' same ol', maybe Nvid. has gotten complacent. Nvidiots, all our money goes to ATI now.

Here's the answer for the 4870

Yes, and the GT-280 is also twice the price of the 4870

Its like saying, ill Get a BMW M3, but the Porsche 911 Turbo is better.

Its twice the price. and sont say its not like that, cause its exactly like that (just on a larger scale)

And On topic

4850:
Pros

Cheaper
Great performance
Crossfire option (you keep intel board)
Less power draw

Cons

Single slot (hot air stays in case)
little less performance (5 - 10 frame loss at high res (at around 1920x1200))

GTX9800+
Pros

Dual Slot (cooler, and the hot air goes out the case)
better performance (5 - 10 frame gain at high res (at around 1920x1200))

Cons
$30 more expensive
SLI (you cant keep the intel board)
More power draw
