9800Gx2 Quad SLI

I currently have one 9800Gx2 and have chance to get another cheap. I was just wondering will it perform well? I play alot of Cod4 and saw these results: http://www.driverheaven.net/reviews.php?reviewid=541&pageid=6

I would also think nVidia will release better drivers?

If I were, you I'd stick with one card. You said that you play a lot of COD4 and that game is not really demanding, which rocks! Based on that link, one 9800GX2 gives you a minimum FPS of 50 which is awesome, that's my average-high with the HD3870.

Are nVidia likely to release better quad sli drivers? O rwill they stop bothering with it now the 200 series is out?

I wouldnt bother with quad sli unless you game at a really high resolution. else the 'gain' of the 2nd x2 jsut isnt worth it.

That's pretty much the case. They may release a new driver version, but soon they'll be discontinuing the GX2 to focus on their new series.

9800Gx2 quad a sli, will it be good on 1680x1050?

I notice for example Crysis 1680x1050, very high, 0aa, 16ai:

Single 9800Gx2: min 15, max 41, average 31
Quad sli 9800Gx2: min 28, max 62, average 42
