9800pro need special power thing?

my frind says a 9800pro needs a special power wire thingy to work, is this true, i thaught it only needed a 4 pin molex connector to work......

I know all you need is a 4 pin molex on the Gigabyte model cause I had one. I'm sure if you look on most manufacturers website you'll find all you need to know.

no i mean like the +12v in the power suppley has to be a sertain ampage or something like that

Nope nothing special like that. just be sure the power supply is large enough to supply extra power to the video card. at least a good 350watt psu.

I have sapphire model and i just use extra power connector
