9800xt Vs 6600gt

i see a bunch of these on any kind tech forums.

anyways does the 9800XT really outperform the 6600GT?
 
i personally got a 6600gt though i personally dont really like ati cards out of the 8 computers only the labtops and the family computer has em. all the rest and my personal builds are all nvidias.
 
yeah i just purchased the 6600gt so hopefully its a good card, im planing on getting HL2 and putting on the max opts on it, plus upgraded to 2gigs of ram.. lets see how this card will do
 
on a scale of 1 to 10, what would you give the 6600gt, cuz i ordered a xfx 6600gt and should be getting it in a couple of days
 
my friend has the 6600GT and he loves it, it plays all the new games at highest settings (FarCry, HL2, NFSU2, and more). I have the 9600XT and i play farcry at hiughest settings, and hl2 at high-highest settings.

same here i ordered the xfx 6600gt while it was on sale, ill write a review on new egg and here when i test drive it and see how it is

i have that card in my bros comp, it plays guild wars fine, but havent installed HL2 so i wouldnt know yet..
