A bit of an unusual question but one with nice outcome.

Well finally got my new rig, so now ill wanna put it two the test.

is it possible (praying for a mirricle) two have one tower working hard to play two different games on two different moniters,

if you got confused with what i mean,

(simple) have one 17" flat moniter playing pro evolution soccer 6 and having a 14crt playing another game such as nfsc.

and can i have the controls so that they dont interfiere with each other.

like to see any replys
thnx
chris.

It is possible but I dont think your graphics card can handle both games at once... Maybe if you stuck a second one in there? That's assuming you have a sli capable mobo. Now two less demanding games is another question entirely...

well you see, the games the gfx card can handle i know, i know for sure,

and it seems to run fine with two need for speeds runnng at the same time,

all i need is someway of running them both simultaniously

I dont think your graphics card can handle both games at once...
it will obviously mean reducing quality obviously, and even the resolution but that is something im willing to compensate for.

Well i guess you'd have to make sure your vid card is capable of doing two monitors, there is a specific name for it but i cant remember it and it's too late and i'm just too lazy to google it so.... where was i? make sure it can run twosies then get into the setting by left clicking the desktop and somehow get to the display option click advanced then your vid card and i think somewhere in there you can screw around with the duel monitor settings. set them to work as two seperate monitors, again there is a specific name for the setting but i forget.. well maybe one of the more coherent members can explain it in greater detail. sorry if this is confusing i should go to sleep.:)

well it can support two moniters and also vid out, currently i messed around with the dual settings and got a clone moniter but its not what i was looking for.

is this a job for software or correctly configuring it, any suggestions.

some of the larger ATX cases have space and fixings for 2 motherboards on top of eachother (mainly server cases)
this means you can have 2 computers in one but what i think your after is splitting power right?
can easily be done by setting primary display to run one programme, and setting the secondary monitor to run the other... the only issue your going to have is with control.
unless you have 2 usb keyboards that somehow combine as one, you can then remap the controls accordingly.
i cant see any way of getting 2 different mouses to work though...

so there will be no way of doing this,

another question can i not have the two moniters acting as one, e.g. by enlarging the resolution to spread across both moniters

It seems kinda impractical, but we don't know his reasons. He could want to let someone else play at the same time. and anyway, sometime time it's just cool to see if you can. :)

well one of the reasons is i dont have enough for multiple controllers, so i get one mate to bring his steering wheel one to use the keyboard and the person who wants to play PES6 dont likle playing racing games,

but we don't know his reasons
well i must admit im one the types of people who wake up and then do stuff to fill time,
sometime time it's just cool to see if you can
...well yes exactly.

so nobody knows how to play seperate games simultaniously,

it is quite fun having three people controlling one car.

Make sure your system can handle the two games. Run in duel view mode, run at least one game windowed.

well ive looked at some software for example a nice piece of software called ultra mon, its ok but still does not have the option im looking for.

Are you planning on playing them at the same time with your four hands?
well no actually i have a steering wheel which i plan on using for NFSC, and a controller i plan on using for PES6

So running one in window mode is totally out of the question for you then? This is a very simple task.
