Ok, about a week ago i started noticing graphical glitches but only when im playing games. The glitches are not specific to one game, it seems to happen with all games (SC:CT, LOTR:BFME, HL2, etc). After a couple days of attempting to fix it, i reformatted. This problem still persists. What do you guys think? The inside of my rig could definatly use a cleaning, possible dust is causing the card to overheat? I did restart and jump into BIOS to check my cpu temp after playing SC:CT and my cpu temp was at 57C. With that said, i know my system is running extremely hot. Any input would be appreciated, please help me out with this one, im out of options.

AMD Athalon XP 2600
ATI Radeon 9800 PRO AIW
Gig 2700 DDR RAM
550W Raidmax PSU
Asus A7N8X-Deluxe Mobo
SB Audigy 2 ZS

BTW, nothing is OC'd

It does sound like it is over heating, but does it start screwing up at the biggining of a game or after you start gaming. If its at the start then it isnt heat but if it happenes after you have been gameing for a while than it probibly is heat.

Before, my computer used to be at 150F after playing HL2 or some other games, i dont think its the heat, i think it is probably your video card. Just update the drivers and make sure its not your video card thats overheating.

I currently have the latest catalyst 5.4 drivers. As another note, these glitches only occur when i start gaming (ex. in splinter cell, menu, loading, etc is fine.....gltiches start when im in game). Below my radeon, i have an audigy sound card and below that is a wireless adapter so it is a little congested. Any more input would be appreciated!

As i have explained it to my friends, it appears this only happens when my video card is being "taxed".
