A computer for my brother

Thanks for your advice and suggestions. In fact, it would mostly be an everyday use computer, and he doesn't really play games on the computer, maybe except mmorpg's once in a while. He has a ps3 for games, lol.

So I just want to build him an inexpensive but good pc, and for about 500$ INCLUDING the operating systeme and the monitor... It might be impossible, but hey, I won't know if I don't try.

Please tell me if you have other tips or advice!

Hi guys,

finally, my brother told me that his budget for his pc was about 800$ (I'm quite surprised) and I showd him this one, that's already assembled from newegg.ca:

I highly doubt I can do better for the same price.

What do you think?

Thanks in advance,

Total: $779.93 before shipping/rebates

MUCH better build. It has quality parts, a faster GPU, faster RAM (but less), quality PSU and a really nice case. You could even swap the case for a different or cheaper one.

Thanks man, it IS a very nice build, but a bit over budget, if I include a screen, OS, shipping and taxes.

But still, I might take some components you suggested. The case looks AWESOME, you have good taste! However, it's waaaaaay too expensive for me, hahaha.

Thanks man,

Same deal for me, I want one, but I need to somewhere procure $209 + $71 shipping... yep that's just about the cheapest it can be found here in Aus... AKA ripoff land :(

EDIT: Corsair's Carbide 400R and 500R cases are set to be released this month or next month, they are about $99 RRP and they have really good looks and internals.
