A couple motherboard questions. ;)

First one:
What's the Gigabyte EP43-DS3L like for overclocking? I know I could of ordered better but don't have the money at the minute. What do you think i could get my Q6600 G0 to with good cooling and Crucial Ballistix 800MHz RAM?

Second one:
What should i do before i change my motherboard over? I've heard people talking about it being best to do a full reformat and install of Windows so it picks up all your hardware and you don't run into problems, is this true? Is there a way to get around it so i don't have to reformat? :/
I will if it's highly recommended though.

first question what do you want to get? and second its possible but if you do it theres a 99.9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 percent chance it will turn to putty becous you firstly have a new mobo and secondly have a new CMOS chip and im not even sure how that is.
