a couple of questions

(1) my friend had his computer set up with two monitors, and he was running several things on both, and he could just move the mouse back in forth. essentially he was a prime aexample of multitasking: IMing while playing a game. how could i do something with two monitors? is there a hard and fast way or is it pretty complicated?

(2) can i make certain windows transparent? like if i had firefox running would i still be able to see through it onto the desktop? or yet again, is this another complicated matter?

thanks

I'm pretty sure you have to get an exta video card. That way you would have two plugins, one for each monitor. Of course, theres most likely a mother board with two monitor-out plugs, but otherwise you just need a second card.

1. There is a number of options here.

On older ISA/PCI cards, there was a secondary connector, on the card, which allowed you to connect another monitor.(Which had to be black and white).

Some newer PCI/AGP cards have TV-OUT connectors, to connect to the TV.
(Watch out for ATI, as they don't all use the standard S-VIDEO connectors).

You could also but a splitter on your existing cable.

Or even get an external VIDEO-CONFERENCE KIT.

my vidoe card had vga and dvi inouts...i cn set up 2 monitors right there....and you probably have onboard grapjhics too..thats three

you can havesomething else runnig in each of these.ex. minimize your word document and it goes to a different screen, and you have messanger open on a differen screen
