Hey computerforum, hows it going guys and girls?

Well what I'm wanting to do is watch TV on my PC. I'm not really sure how I would go about doing this; because I don't have any cable or arial connections in my room. Is there a TV card that I can use to pick up Freeview digital TV that comes with like a small aerial?

Another thing I was hoping to do was connect a games console upto my computer so I could play it through my monitor and maybe record some footage etc.

What do you folks reckon, I've had a look around and I'm really not sure whats hot and whats not

Any help would be greatly appreciated. oh and I live in the UK btw i'm not sure if this will make a difference.

Thanks :)

You can pick up a DVB-T tuner that can pick up OTA signals, sure. One with a small aerial antenna. YRMV. It all depends on how far away you are from source transmission, quality of the signal in your area, etc.

This site allows you to check coverage. I dunno if it's comprehensive or anything. With a capture card you can hook your console up to the PC/monitor (of which the DVB-T card would suffice), though I'm not saying you'll get fantastic quality. :P

Edit: You're going to need an adapter unless you get a tuner with the right connections, obviously.
