I want to crossfire Radeon 5870 but I have a couple of questions.

Which motherboard would sync well with Radeon 5870 and AMD phenom x4 955?

How many graphics cards can you crossfire at once and is their a limit to how much it can imrove performance?

I hear getting a good motherboard is crutial and you shouldn't skip out, is this true?

I saw that Coolermaster cases support Nvidia, does this mean that their brand can not do the same for Radeon?

Can anyone suggest a good case, and do you think I will have to watercool this rig?

not sure, I think most AM3 slot mobo's should work.

I think it's two cards, but you can use HD4870x2, so then you kinda have four.

Yes and no. You really just have to find one that can do what you want. A good motherboard won't really increase performance, it will just allow you to do more. For example, some have wifi built in, some have Crossfire/SLI support, some have firewire built in, some have tons of SATA or USB connections, etc.

No, that's just stupid advertising bullshit. The case has no effect on the parts inside it, other than perhaps having good airflow or whatever. I bet nVidia pays them to say that. It will work with any standard motherboard.

well, we can assume it will run on PCI-E 2.0 so... probably any decent AMD mobo

Ahhh... see well you forget that I am a newb... so would a Gigabyte GA work?
