I was doing some research, and it seems that the Thermalright 120 extreme is the best option for a Q9450.

Though, I think the Thermalright and the V8 have similar temps, and are roughly the same price.

Uve been to frostytech's website right? They have a pretty nice set of lists of the temps of each cooler compared to others... this list has most of the coolers realeased up until the V8(including ultra 120 extreme):

I'm going to look into returning the V8, after having problems with it. No matter how I installed it, it always shut my computer off, lol.
