A Little bit of PS2 help

I have asked this in a few other forums devoted to PS2, but I have not received to many responses, so I figured I would see if anyone on here can help me.

I have MVP Baseball 2005 for the PS2 and I want to update the rosters to the new ones. I found the updated roster files on Gamefaq, but I'm not sure how to put it onto my PS2 memory card. In what I have read I need a USB Flash drive and AR Max. I have the AR MAX software, but I dont have a flash drive yet, but I do an SD card and reader. So what I was thinking is can I load the AR MAX software onto the SD card and load it to the PS2? Now I have tried this, but the PS2 can not find the reader. I have no clue if this is possible or if I'm doing something wrong. So if someone has done this before could you help me out.

It should work fine with the reader, but I'm not completely sure... As it is, USB drives are really cheap (you can get a 1GB for $20 on sale), and so it wouldn't hurt to see if that would work...

I have a Flash drive on order, but I have no clue how to go about loading it in to the PS2. When I plug in the reader it does not show up on the browser screen.

You probably need to load the file onto the USB flash drive. Plug that into the PS2 usb ports. Then load up AR on the PS2 and update the files there onto the PS2 memory cards, then have MVP grab the updated roster file from there.

Not sure how AR really works, but I assume it's in someway, similar to Codebreaker, so for the most part, that's how Codebreaker works; It's probably a setting in AR somewhere where you can access the flash drive.
