A Little Confused

Hi

Ive just started PC building and im a bit confused.
Alot of Mobo's say
"1 x PCI Express 2.0 x16 slot
2 x PCI Express x1 slots
3 x PCI slots"
Which one do GFX cards fit into?
I know they are PCI Express but is it the normal PCI Express or PCI Express 2.0?

They fit in the pci-express 16 slot
Now 2.0 card will work in a 1.0 slot
And an 1.0 card will work in a 2.0 slot.

BUT!

This board only had 1 PCI-E 2.0 slot.
But if you read this review he is running 2 GTX 260's on it.

" for anyone interested to know im running 2 x nvidia gtx 260,s on it without any probs. not alot of space between the pci-e slots but all new sli cards are made to work close together,check any 3 way sli config on the net."

How comes?
 
Its got 2 x PCI-E 2.0.

Thats how it can get SLI'ed

PCI and PCI x 1 are those white slots (PCI x 1 is the shoirt one)

PCI-E 2.0 are the blue and black slots on that mobo.
