A little help with asus cuv4x?

Hi there. I'm looking for a (preferably quick) fix for the problem with the asus motherboard. Some time ago my computer stopped turning on. When I push the button "on", the computer ignores the button and just stays there and looks cute. However, once in a while when I press the "on" button it will turn on for a few seconds and then turns off again. I'm suspecious it might be the motherboard, case, or some other hardware problems- has anybody met anything like this? How do I come over this problem? Or should I just shoot the damn thing, cut its wires and throw it into the well with no evidence of murder?

what it sounds like is you have a power supply problem.
have your power supply voltage check also check your power cord and make sure it is plug in firmly sometimes they become loose and not making good contact.
